I've just been trying this out.
One: I can't find a Female Option.
Two: I can't figure out how to save the character.
As for something to add? Rank pips.

Are you meant to be able to download it? Because I don't see how.
Also, the black background makes it impossible to see the black hair.
But except for that this is very well done! Looks beautiful. (:

What a pity you don't want to finish it - for it's phantastic! Especially it's a male dollmaker, and there are not very much in the net. The drawings are great, and those many options are phantastic. Great work! Β Β

Unfortunately, as far as I know, it was never finished. I started a female version if that helps you any, but I don't actually know of any other published Star Trek dollmakers.

Well (spoilers) I am working on one, but the sheer number of outfits it's going to take is daunting.

we appreciate all your hard work. My mother and I are both hardcore trekkies and we love dress up games, so hearing about this was like Christmas come early.

Oh man, I didn't even realize you commented. I am sorry! I know I answered in the notes, but for anyone else who has the same question:
The short answer is that you need to use your computer's screen-capture function. There's nothing within the game itself that will allow you to do it.
The slightly longer answer is that I have an older version of Flash that doesn't actually let me program in a save button. I got around that with another project by sending the entire file and coding to a friend who had a newer version, and making him publish the game. It took about twenty versions and two weeks because I had to debug remotely, and the dressup game is so much more complex that it just wasn't feasible to do the same thing.

You forgot to add the Klingons beards and that sash thing that Worf wears..
Nice creator one of the few I've found.

This is the best Star Trek creator I've found, however, can you please make a female option?

You could always release the current one as beta! It will be far better than nothing, and judging by this one it will be amazing!

There's a better one out there?Β If it is, I haven't seen it.Β My only suggestion would be a way to change the background color to keep the guy from blending in.Β I think it's excellent in every other way.

I'm not sure. I've toyed with the idea, and I've gotten a lot of requests. But I'll be honest, it's a daunting project.

Uh, new Trekkie here, so there's something I'm a bit confused about. On some of the jackets, you have the parts that change to suit each division showing as red for Command and gold for Operations and Security. Forgive me if I'm wrong but I thought it was the other way around?

RiseofDarkFire In reply to Excuseyouiamperfect [2013-10-09 22:03:11 +0000 UTC]
You're very observant! Thank you for you comment.
As for your question: It depends on which series you watch. In the original series (Captain Kirk), it was gold for Command and red for Ops, like you said. But in the series that followed (The Next Generation, with Picard; Voyager, with Janeway; and Deep Space Nine, with Sisko), they reversed the colours: Command became red and Ops became gold. (Enterprise, which was a prequel series that was produced after all the ones I mentioned, also had gold for Command and red for Ops, like TOS did.)
So you're not wrong. I tried to put each uniform in the correct era: The ENT uniforms have gold for Command, as do the TOS uniforms, while the TNG, VOY, and DS9 uniforms have red for Command.
In the show, they never explained why they made the switch, so I can't tell you the reason, but you're not the first person it's confused. I hope it makes (some) sense now!

Okay I understand! Thank you very much for taking the time to explain this to me, it was very thoughtful and kind. I would also like to say I really enjoyed the flash game and all the different options made it incredibly fun; I can't imagine how much time and effort that took! Thank you once again for clearing that up for me, now I want to watch the series even more!
