So this is my entry for the 'Light in the Dark event' from *SnowglobeStallion

This plays before the war so don't think Charlie's just leaving the battle field for a few days to ride a competition x'D

Story:
It was Charlie's birthday today. Her sweet 16. Altough it wasn't really sweet to her. She didn't celebrate her birthday for two years after the accident. It wasn't a festive day for her anymore. Her best friend died on that day.
Charlie sat on her bed looking through the window, starring at the dark sky. She sighed, did her life even make sence? She heard someone knocking at her door.
'Yes?'
Kelly opened it and walked to Charlie. Charlie couldn't hold her tears back anymore and started crying. Kelly put her arm around her little sister. 'Look at me Kelly, I'm a mess. I can't help Lenora as long as I'm crying like a baby!'
'Your tears aren't for nothing! Losing a close friend isn't just something.'
'I'm weak Kelly. I can't fight a war when someone can hit my weak spot!'
'Don't be so hard on yourself! crying doesn't mean your weak, it means you've been strong for to long and you just have to let those tears go. Tears don't mean you're losing and besides, as long as Hegon doesn't know it, you won't have any problem. Come on, let's go down stairs for your birthday.'
'No, I have nog birthday anymore.'
'I knew you didn't want to come out of your room... and that's why I signed you up for a competition with Ella.'
'What? are you out of your mind!' Charlie didn't know she had to be angry or just surprised.
'You've been sitting here for days! You're coming out right now and you're going to ride that competition!' Kelly grabbed Charlie's arm and pulled her with her. Charlie tried to free herself but it didn't work. Kelly used her magic.

'What kind of competition is it?' Charlie asked
'It's called the 'Light in the Dark event' the name already says it.'
'Dress code?'
'A dress.'
'I don't have a dress so can I go back to my room now?'
'I made a dress for you, as a birthday present.'
'I already said. It's not my birthday!'
'Ok, ok, than I just made a dress for you for this competition, are you happy now?'
'no.'
Kelly grabbed the dress out of a box. Charlie couldn't believe her eyes. It was almost like the dress was made from fire and it was decorated with little white luminous stones.
'It.... It's beautiful.'
'I knew you would like it.' Kelly smiled
Charlie slowly walked towards the dress and took it from Kelly.
'It's like an inner flame, an eternal flame wich always shines in you and wich'll always be with you as long as you believe it's still there.'
'Thank you Kelly. Thanks a lot!' Charlie hugged her sister.
'Let's go to Ella to make her ready and afterwards, we'll dress you up.' Kelly said and they walked to the stables.

Charlie couldn't leave it to use her fire powers in the competition She had to show that Inner, eternal flame...
