He has lifted me upFrom the pits of despair,
He has purged all darkness
From my mind.
Now He lives inside me,
And I can live free at last.
Caressed with a love
She never felt before.
She knew it existed,
But never believed she would have it.
Though she searched for it
Her whole life.
She never found it,
But He did.
He's brought me from
The brink of death,
He has vanquished evil
And brought me to Himself.
Now He lives inside me,
And I can live free at last.
He knew what she longed for,
What she needed,
And so He prepared her heart.
Gently,
He broke it,
And with tender love,
Warm touch,
He mended it,
Making it stronger,
With fewer leaks and cracks and scars.
He presented to her that
Which she always wanted,
Tender love,
Tender touch,
And unconditional, and nonjudgmental love.
Instead of worshiping the gift,
She worshipped Him.
"Praise God," she said.
