anyway, Toothless deserved WAY better than "the light fury." she doesn't even have a proper name! the excuse given was that "she's wild and shouldn't have a name!" Which is complete bullsh!t as many other wild dragons have been named in Race to the Edge. they named a wild Death Song (Garffijorg), several wils Night Terrors (Smidvarg, Darkvarg, Peggy), and a random wild Gronkle (Junior Tuffnut Junior) to name a few.
another thing is that the light fury isn't the only light fury we see in the third movie. there are at least 3 others seen in the background during Toothless' time in the hidden world.
it's also shown that the light fury is rather abusive and manipulative towards Toothless. when Toothless was drawing Hiccup during Homecoming, the light fury gets mad at him for missing his best friend. Toothless has to apologize to her in order to make her happy again. later, she prevents Toothless from potentially reuniting with Hiccup after he meets Zephyr by glaring at him.

tldr: Toothless deserved way better than the glittery beluga fetus he ended up with. "The" light fury is not the only one of her kind. Lightfury is emotionally abusive towards Toothless.
