Always loved the Hailstorm/X armor for Zero. Particularly its weapon design and colors. I really wished it came with armor for the lower part of the legs since I think the shoulder/hip pieces stick out from the leg a lot and make the legs look really thin and awkward. Though now with more color in the legs instead of just the brown seems to fix that. I also never liked the pale gold that the model was molded in, so I changed that to a rich antique gold. I used to have the blue parts painted a dark gloss blue, but I changed it to the metal flake blue it is now with some airbrushing. I also used to have the black parts flat black, but thought the gloss black would better fit the the gold and metallic blue. Most of the stickers I used came from the HMM Great Saber. They just looked perfect on him.Will be taking shots of him in the Imperial Zero armor soonish. There's also another Liger Zero custom that's almost done >:3

Made poseable with Lego Bionicle joints.
Paints: gold spray paint, antique gold by folk art, gloss black from Testors Acrylic, Blue Metallic from Testors Enamel

Awesome! Also great to see someone else using the Bionicle parts idea for poseability. My Tallyessen Raynos back in 2002 seems to have been one of the first customs to use this concept, so I'm happy to see someone else do it with a much cooler subject and fantastic execution.

Thanks! It's taken a lot of trial and error to get to this point though. My first zoids using the joints are starting to fall apart now since they're not executed well enough DX

Ha, fair enough-- I have some old stuff that's also seen better days. I think the only reason why the Tallyessen is still together is because I was using some serious adhesive back when I built it. lol It was pretty much overkill.

lol nice! I have my little baking soda with super glue trick. The stuff is like cement and great for gap filling!

Yeah, Zap is a really good CA for such things (this is likely what you use). I find myself using two-part epoxy for heavy stuff these days.

Wow, they should have sold it origonally in the colors you used, it really improves it and makes it eye-catching. And sparkly. But mostly eye catching.
I love all your zoid model remakes. They're the kind of amazing that I'd pay $$$ for to get one of my models costomized. Great job!

Something that contains something like grounding rods perhaps.

I would have to agree with you on the legs, they hardly look like they could take the liger's weight! XD I don't have the liger zero X model, only the action figure, and whenever I look at it that's the first thing I notice XD
That blue looks really nice on the armor... o.o I can't stop staring at it! Shinies...
You should see if you have any spare liger zero bottom leg pieces lying around and see how they look with that armor and spray them that blue so the legs don't look as bulky, That's what I would do!

Hmm... You should try the other liger zero CAS armors and see how they look too XD I could see the bottom leg pieces from the schneider set looking quite good... That might just be me though!

Wow you are really good with posing your Zoids models, I am just afraid I might damage my babies D:
But man you did a wonderful job customizing it, and I always was slightly bothered with the fact it looks slim with no armor on his legs. But I figured its a change. I have one as well, but it is sooooooo delicate I cant touch it without his ass vent falling off along with his head

lol yeah it's hard when you first start out. I know I've been going back and rejointing some of my old ones. My one Zero has that problem too with the butt plate. I just super glued it one XD

I agree with you on the colors, your paint job is fantastic. ^^
And I always thought the same thing with the legs. They just seemed to skinny and awkward for him to have any kind of defense, or he would get stuck with the big shoulder armor. haha

Just... amazing!!!! Almost thought for a minute "Where the hell did she get a HMM Liger Zero ?!" then I took a closer look and saw the Bionicle joints... Your work could go easily on par with Revoltech or HMM IMO
And now you make me wish I had the Hailstorm CAS complete - sniff - I bought my Zero X vintage and it missed Hailstorm parts, only the red Imperial CAS was complete

Thanks! I love the Blade Ligers since they have those pieces over the paws and you can't even see the joints! XD I figure why go and buy joints online and have to wait and pay shipping when I can just go get a cheap bionicle for the same thing.

yeah, shame, Hailstorm looks more of a cross between Zero and Blade Liger, I like it for this.
Cannot even start thinking of making my Zero poseable, as the cutter and super-glue have inexplicable tendancies to get attracted by my fingers rather than the pieces they're supposed to cut/stick

LOL - My most noticeable performance was when I managed to have a Mig-29 tail rudder stuck on me and it took some REALLY HOT water and soap to take us apart ^^
