This was alot of fun to do. This is all we got done for the first sitting, about 8 hours worth. Next sitting will be at the Halifax tattoo convention and we're going to be adding color to the flowers and the whale. I did this on - [link]It's a killer whale instead of koi fish / traditional japanese.
And the back of the arm isn't anywhere near done yet, so don't tell me about how empty it is. There's lots of water to finish back there and probably another flower.

Wow Zindy, that's a huge compliment. Corey Miller flash sheets were all over the walls of the shops I began in. He's an underestimated artist but thanks to t.v he's 'famous,' But Corey Miller in the tattoo world has always been one of the greats, so it's nice he hear a great artists tell you something like this. I think he's amazing on LA ink, so talented. I love that he works freehand, must take a lot of confidence to do that. I have gotten a bit insight in the tattoo world after watching the program. It's quite interesting and I especially like hearing people's stories for the tattoos.Do you have a favourite tattoo artist?

He is a great artist. I don't have a specific tattoo artist that I consider a favorite. I like so many artists for different things and styles. So I guess it would depend on that. I have favorites in all kinds of tattooing. The only all time artist I can say is my favorite is you.

oh wow this is like the perfect tattoo for an arm like something i just dont know why people but it in the stop you put this one not that it looks bad i just looks like it should be in a different place but you made the tattoo wrap around her arm nice.....i hope that made sense lol

The flowers are my favorite part.
In this black and white stage they look like they could almost be a part of the waves.

I really really like this peice. The flowers are GREAT....like great. The shading is spot on. Mostly traditional....with a LITTLE bit of new school in it. Which I usually prefer anyway. The like ONLY critique I can think of is the continuation of the water at the bottom is a little too newschool...I guess because it's lined. It doesn't look bad it's just not a typical thing and it's throwing me off

The water isn't close to done yet though. There's going to be alot added to it, more water and all. then the black against the lines to hide the line work. That was my intention from the start, so i threw in some chicken sratch lines to atleast show me where to shade everything. But I appreciate the critique, it all helps to see what people think. Otherwise all I see is what I know, not what other people see and think.
