Last August my cousin Courtney passed away. We grew up together and we were close friends so it hit me really hard. She was in her last year of nursing school and had impeccable grades. She was the most amazing person, so caring and loving. I miss her....She was 21 and died from a heart attack. She was anorexic and bulimic. She knew she had to get better and wanted to but she just couldn't and her body couldn't hold on any more.I made the pendant above for my aunty (Courtney's mom) as Courtney was a dancer and just like an angel. Out of the blue i had also written a poem for her even though i hadn't wrote one in many years. I will share that as well.
Caring Angel with eyes so blue
Matching the sky in perfect hue
Smile so glistening and bright
She gives off her own radiant light
Caring angel holding up my head
Praying as I lay down to bed
Caresses a kitten with a gentle touch
Loves with her heat so very much
Healing others whenever she can
Always first to lend a loving hand
She now flies on forever free
That caring angel named Courtney
