Description Here's a full line up of my "B Team" (or i guess my "(Singles) Battle Team") that I trained up. They're even EV trained thanks to super training ;w; (don't talk to me about how faster the old method is, the old method is shit and why i never bothered with ev training) Anyway, from left to right here's their profiles~

Mamoko (マモコ)

Ability: Prankster
Nature: Hardy
Item: Light Clay
Moveset: Play Rough, Flash Canon, Light Screen, Reflect

Mamoko protected the keys for Parfum Palace's royalty in the past (headcanon: klefki live for very long periods of time), however times changed and she was no longer needed. Prying the keys from her was near impossible, so the locks were merely changed, though in current times they mostly remain unlocked anyway. Because of the family just basically kicking her out, she has a few trust issues and is even more fiercely protective of her keys. She's grown to like her trainer (Bel, my mc in JP X) and has taken it upon herself to protect not only her trainer's physical keys but also to remember her "digital keys" (passwords).

Her name comes from 守る (to protect) and 子 (child).

Raine

Ability: Super Luck
Nature: Lax
Item: sometimes amulet coin for the chateau but no consistant item atm
Moveset: Dazzling Gleam, Aura Sphere, Air Slash, Wish

Similar to Mamoko, she once resided in a royal family's castle. However, her time there was much shorter (and far more recent). Born from royal Togepi, she was to be used by the Battle Chatelaines but upon discovery that her ability was not serene grace, she was thrown out into the safari zones to fend for herself. She wasn't too surprised when she wasn't kept by the trainer that caught her, but she was extremely happy to be trained by the one who she was traded to despite her ability. She hates her ability, though she tries her best not to let it show.

Her name, according to BehindTheName, could come from the French word for "queen" (reine). I wanted something "royal" sounding. uwu

Serena (セレナ)

Ability: Synchronize

Nature: Hardy

Item: No set item atm

Moveset: Energy Ball, Psychic, Dazzling Gleam, Shadow Ball

Serena is twin sisters with Yumeko (My Munna for dream worlding in Black), and both of them are also Rella's sisters (Rella being my White2 Musha). She's prone to falling asleep at random and sleepwalks/floats(?). During one of her sleepwalking escapades, she wandered so far she ended up in a Kalos Friend Safari, where she was caught by a native trainer. She's a little slow on the uptake and didn't even realize she wasn't in Isshu for quite a few days.

Her name comes from the FMC's default name, and by extension likely has connections to the word "serene".

Regina (レジーナ)

Ability: Intimidare (->Pure Power)

Nature: Naughty

Item: Mawilite

Moveset: Crunch, Play Rough, Iron Head, Return

A shrine maiden entrusted with a special megastone magatama from birth. Handed down for generations, since even before the first Lucario mega evolved, however none of her ancestors have been able to utilize it, due to not having a trainer to connect with. Regina was the first of the line to join a trainer in their journey and became the first megastone magatama older to actually mega evolve. Though she has not yet returned to her family since leaving with her trainer, she is certain that her mega evolution will be celebrated.

Her name comes from the Pretty Cure character Regina, which also means "Queen".

Manami (マナミ)

Ability: Huge Power

Nature: Impish

Item: No set item atm

Moveset: Super Power, Play Rough, Double Edge, Aqua Tail

A castle guard, who protects a very finicky Dedenne princess. As such, she ends up being a sort of mother figure for the team, and also tends to reel Bel (their trainer) in when she goes overboard. Unlike Raine and Mamoko, her leave of the castle was far more pleasant and simple. The princess she watched after left on her required journey and after meeting a few other new friends, requested that Manami head off on her own. She promised that if the princess needed her help at all to call her, though she has not made use of that promise yet.

Her name comes from 愛 (mana, love) and 海 (mi, ocean).

Gumi (グミ)

Ability: Sap Sipper

Nature: Calm

Item: no set item atm

Moveset: Muddy Water, Thunderbolt, Dragon Pulse, Ice Beam

Gumi loves people and pokemon all the same, but due to her strength, she tends to hold back and ends up seeming very shy. She worries a lot about hurting others when showing her affection, as she has done so on accident with other pokemon on Route 14 in the past. She has a talent for singing, but tends not to do anything with it for fear of being mocked.

Her name comes from the Vocaloid Gumi's name (Megpoid) and how it sounds similar to "Goomy".

I also have four alternates planned to fill in to make a gen6-new-mon-only team, but they're not quite trained yet. At some point I'l gijinka Regina in her mega form too uwu

Most people don't use starters in teams for battling other people.

I could never be bothered to learn which Pokemon out of hundreds raised which stat and keep track of all of the points myself. Now at least you can tell what's going on. (Also: Reset bags would mean Gen III Pokemon whose EVs were messed up by the special-physical shift can be retrained, doesn't it?)

So yeah, firmly on Team Super Training is Cool.

More on topic: CUTIES, all of them. Raine particularly, with her cute hair highlights and dress and jacket, but they're all quite well-gijinka'd and I love them.

I agree the old method was very vexing, and yet I find myself EV training in horde battles *sigh*

I hear ya the old method was sooooooo boring when I did it. Super training makes it more fun and harder to screw up the training (plus it's nice to have those reset bags for when you do mess up).
