I for one really prefer gil-gilad or Ereninion as Fingon's son and not Orodroth's.
I love this painting! You have a talent of ingraining a lovely sweetness in every portrait.

I like the calm mood of the background landscape. It just works well as backgound but doesn't distract from the main actors here. I also like the relatively simple but elegant dresses. The whole scene looks very ... real... to me.

Ну, полагаю, Маэдрос умеет обращаться с детьми!(При его количестве младших браьев)
Мне нравится сочетание цветов волос и одежды Феаноринга. Великолепная галлерея.

Weird how Tolkien never tells us anything about Fingon's wife.

.....and also about e.g Thranduil's wife. Every genius has weaknesses, maybe he didn't feel confident about writing female characters.

Gorgeous. I especially like the appearance of Fingon's wife. There's just something about her - she seems warm, caring, practical... and I love her brown hair!

Once again, a lovely piece. Like I've said before, I love how you manage to pick out beautiful images not thought of by other artists. It takes a person like me into the world wonderfully, opening up 'The Silmarillion', its places and people in a way that is different to the text. I also like how you take a lot of Elves and portray them 'before their time' as it were -- Celebrimbor, and now Ereinion. These are great names among the elves, but you show them what they are like when they're small and growing into the high-king, or master smith of the future. It removes them from the reader's familiarity of war and death, and places them in a time when such thoughts are not even really comprehendible to them yet. It's really nice to illustrate that development, and it's something that I'll always admire in you as a Tolkien illustrator. It shows your insight into his creation.
To finish off, the colours are beautifully warm and soft as usual, and the calm, peaceful interaction between the characters is lovely too. I also like the soft rolling hills of Himlad in the background as well. A brilliant new piece, I can't wait for more!

PS. Nice detail with the stirrup-less horse .
