He was so calm and friendly in the other reality, like he has no problems.

He is a victim of circumstances and his attitude is a result of pressure from his shitty father,duty in front of family,stupid family traditions he must follow,not looking at his own wishes..Psychological problems also..
And I think,he isn't totally ass,if he's found enough power to warn Max about Jefferson. Something has changed inside him.Or something changes him.
I also hated this guy,his selfishness and arrogance. And I also didn't believe him in that first moment,when he warned Maxin about threatness. As well as I didn't believe Victoria about her real regret what about happened with Kate also. But what about Victoria - it's another talk.. Maybe she truly regrets about what she done,but she likes attention and she didn't miss a opportunity for self-promotion (I meant say something about Kate, and pay attention to her person) in that last speech after awardning of "best blackwell photographer" or how it called..? I forgot,sorry. It looks unnatural a bit when she said something like "It's all for you,Kate",cause everyone knows she also did pretty enough to forces Kate think about suicide.

Come on, he tried to kill, has killed and threatened to kill people on multiple occasions. He brought a gun to a school!

He didn't try to kill anyone, his threats were empty, and no, he did not kill anyone, unless you mean when he accidentally shoots Chloe. Keyword:Accidentally.
He clearly regrets it and starts crying after shooting her.

He still assault Warren, perhaps twice. And threats to kill are just as serious

Ich liebe das sooo sehr <3 Nathan tat mir extrem Leid und ich wünschte, es hätte eine Möglichkeit gegeben, zu verhindern, dass er ins Gefängnis kommt 😭

This scene hit me harder than actual endings, I dunno why, perhaps amazingly done voice acting and my fav song. And damn I can even hear Nathan's voice when I look at this, this is perfect!!

Gosh... Sending you virtual hugs and tissues! That game was such a rollercoaster of emotions and this part breaks my heart. I didn't like Nathan at all in the first episode, then just realized that deep down, he wasn't a bad kid and this scene just... Dontnod really does a great job with character development. Also, amazing art and coloring style. You conveyed the emotions of this scene very well ;_;

Thank you for the hugs and tissues, they where long overdue!!
YES, you said this very well! It's kinda sad, we only get to know him better once he breaks.
And once the scene came up where Warren beats him up and he starts crying? I felt how my soul left my body, there was no coming back.
Dontnod really did a good job! Though I'm sad that Nathan always gets the bad end, no matter what you choose.
AND THANK YOU FOR THE COMPLIMENT! I tried to use many colours as possible ;u;

I can imagine ;_;
And I feel like such a monster for not stopping Warren both for Nathan and him... Gosh, you really see Warren's guilt, like he realize ''Oh god, what have I done?'' And Nathan sobbing and everything crushed me. Just... Dontnod why you doing this?!
I'm sort of hoping they'd make a Life is Strange season 2. As far as I know, Max still has powers and that wasn't explained. Maybe there are others like her? Maybe we could see Nathan again (Well, he does stay alive in one ending.)
You're welcome *_*

he never meant to kill Rachel, he is the most tragic Character in the game.

I think it was mostly an accident, since she was overdosed. That doesn't excuse murder but it can be explained.

I didn't have much sympathy for his character, I may just need to do another playthrough or watch some vital information videos on YouTube.

I think he might be the true victim in all this. He did bad things, but he went through hell as much as Chloe but just in a different way.

Aye. It is a really tragic story for him. (I've had the chance to review the events of the game again.) and I can definitely see a tone that's underneath the manic attacks he has. He's never really had the kind of family the other characters have had. He's grown up on a relatively long leash; but when you chain a pup and only reprimand him when he does something bad, and not give him love, attention, and the proper training on how to grow up to be a good adult: he'll become more prone to irrational action and reaction.
That's what I, in the poor excuse for psychological knowledge I have 😋, think is the case with this character. Not really the cliché wants-parents-to-be-proud-of-them; but definitely in the need of some feeling of purpose, accomplishment, and respect.
