Description
Alil backstoryAs most of us will know, a new Killer Instincts is coming out for the next Gen. Xbox One.
Killer Instincts was one of the games I grow up on, playing the SNES port and KI2's port "KI Gold" on the N64 to death and back
and the Arcades if I ever bumped into them.
So on hearing the announcement, I went back and played them again after all these years and still have alot of my skill for Jago in both games.
Who after playing as for so long, I always had a fawn-ness to his fighting style.
I'm no expert to any degree, but Jago, a Tibetan monk, His fighting style from both KI 1 and 2 looks very much Like the Tiger Style art
Which he is suppose to worship a kind of tiger spirit.
Thinking on this, I actually though it would make a Great fighting style for Silk. As part of her extended story is that she learns how to fight correctly and in a discipline rather then being a loose cannon.
Jago's Wind Kick being one of my favorite moves of his, a Wind Kick from Silk would be devastating to say the least.
Silk's full fighting style would be a modified version of Jago's Tiger Style and other MMA styles to adjust of her lack of size.
I'm not to fawn of Jago's New Wind Kick in the New KI because it looks kinda boring and less dramatic from the original KI and KI2 as it looks like a sliding heelkick rather then a flying roundhouse.
and it seems like he may have lost the Tiger Slide from 2, because I never seen it used on the Demos on Youtube.
and his new Lazer Sword is an actually Tibetan sword, rather then his old ninja like sword, do give them props on that.
Silk's Lunar power is very non specific, but she can create dence stings of energy, possibly redirects Kinetic energy(I haven't decided on how to describe her powers). So a focused swing of her arm can makes an energy blade much like Jagos lazer sword attack, so she would have that too in a way.
so Long story short, Silk would hand to hand much like Jago from Killer Instincts

Strung an outfit together, not sure of the pants work for her, because I liked the idea of her in shorts, but I just couldn't find a pair of good ones that wasn't too revealing and non practical.
in the end I still made her outfit rather ...slinky, unbuttoned pants and all

I want this on record saying that I don't think it really deserved that meany star's
a 5 out of five seems a big much, but I appreciate it very much and your time writing your critique.
kinda odd tho, that this is something that occurs Late in her character development.
I want her to be a character that appears very disconnected from the world around her, and this render is by far the most focus'd she has ever looked
That I actually don't like, but as a fan art like render of Jagos Very sharp pose really puts her out of her element into another.
it Looks great, I'll admit that, but don't get to comfortable with the idea.
she does look great in that top tho.

Hmm, and to think I was just commenting elsewhere on how I wish i had the skills to mod Silk into a fighting game and there she is! Well, sort of.
On the KI stuff, I too remember KI from back in the day, was never that great in it but certainly enjoyed playing it against my brother back in the day. Due to Silks great legs and devastating bottom I always considered a fighting style mix of Juri (from SF) for the kicks and the Amazon (Dragon's Crown) for the butt smash, but Jago fits quite well too. In fact, I'd even say VICE from Capcom Vs. Marvel 2 (her fighting style is quite literally panther like, she even goes down on the ground and 'assumes the position' before every fight. However, ironically one of Vice's special abilities is to grab opponents from practically anyway (including the air) whilst as you said Silk's fighting style should account for the fact that her reach is one of her few weaknesses.
Would like to see Silk practicing some Capoeira too just for the the body positions, but eh, I'm waffling. Nice picture and pose all the same. And I think the jeans are a good compromise, though of course she could always have a thong/booty shorts as an alternate costume anyway. (As many fighting games do anyway these days).

Very nice attire. Thinking about it. With the way those pants fit her having them unbuttoned like this takes the restriction off her waist giving her strong leg mobility allowing her to use it for heavy punching power.

Considering you're having her use a heavy kicking style. Something form fitting like this works it is already set to her and she is not fighting with her cloths before she needs to do any attacking. Similar to spanex, however if you were going to go with shorts. Use Boxing or swim trunks they would provide movement freedom without being too revealing there are also sweat pants.

well done well done. I have watching the new KI like crazy ever since they announced it.
i think really did a good job with the stance here as well. trying to imagine silk fighting like jago that would be awesome.

She must have some serious plumber's crack going on back there, lol. In all seriousness, this is pretty sick. I don't think I'll ever get accustomed to the bunny ears, but that's a personal preference.

and I will have to redo her hair with something like "Look at my hair" with her ears in mind for them to look better paired

They just look kinda tacked on, to me. Currently, they seem unnecessary, and I think she looks better without them. Perhaps if you find a better way to combine them with the hair, I'd change my tune. But for now, they strike me as an unneeded addition to a character who already has enough unique features to make her stand out.
But again, that's MY personal preference. I'm sure there are other viewers who think they look just fine.
