Description A huge wire tree made with a pond underneath. There are 19 fish in there but some are hardly visible. This was enjoyable to make, especially the pond.

The base is 24 X 24 X (3-5) cm, the tree is 25 cm in height

The pond has such great depth and the little fish are very well made, I thought you had put a photo under some resin and lilies at first. And that rippling effect! What a great accident, now you really have to find out how you made that happen.

Thank you ^^
Unfortunately I think it was only due to the resin being defective, maybe it happened because the resin was over one year old, I dunno At least it had great effect

Wow, this is magnificent. I love all the little details and the atmosphere it creates. I really like miniature trees but the pond gives this one an extra special touch.

Thank you. If I only knew why that happened I'd be able to replicate it

Mistakes: If you hate them you can't solve them. If you love them you can't repeat them XD

damn the cruel, cruel fates! they are the ones that make awesome mustache straws then make it so none of the stores have them in stalk when you go to buy one! or have the ice cream that you buy in winter, somehow manage to still melt in negative 30 weather. *shakes fist at reality*

It looks quite jarring with the metal tree growing out of a natural landscape.

Jarring in a good way or bad way?

Well, that depends on what you're trying to do or say with it...

There is nothing deper to this piece than what is visible. A the time I enjoyed making wire trees and I wanted them to have a base to go with them. So he interpretation is pretty much left to the observer. I personally liked the raw wire structure, so I left it that way, not covering it with a more "realistic" surface.

This is gorgeous! The amount of details in it is astounding and it looks so lifelike.
That pond in its entirely, fish and texture and all, are amazing. How did you accomplish that, if I may ask?

Thank you very much!
The fish are made with cold porcelain clay (a homemade clay) and the fins are made with white (pva) glue on a foil and then added to the painted body.
The rippling water was..actually a mistake. I blame it on resin being defective I have no idea why it reacted this way. No matter how thick or thin the layer was it always rippled the surface. It might be due to resin being old. I was worried at the beginning but then the effect it has made the surface look all that more real.
If you have any other questions just ask
