So I plan on attempting to make my own balencing sculpture, and I would like to know a few things. When do you start figuring out the balence? From the beginning and watching the weight throughout the whole process or do you make the basic pose/anatomy and begin adding weight later on with the details? If you don't want to spill your secrets that's okay but these are absolutely fascinating! I know mine won't come out as well but it looks like a lot of fun to try.

No problem! I finished my attempt, and let's just say you can safely keep your title as the balance master. My guy doesn't even compare to your companions, he doesn't look half bad for an amateur but he doesn't really balance. (Not going to lie, I broke him twice trying to add weight with him balancing on my finger) anyway, I have a new appreciation for these guys! Here's a link to mine if you want to see - emilydragongirl.deviantart.com…

I see your expertise with dragons carries over wonderfully when you attach feathers! I think it's incredible that within my lifetime we have gone from thinking dinosaurs had no feathers to this! I daresay I do prefer this way. I love how the stripes on the wings look almost watercolor like!
