My problem with this card is that it's too similar to the red land. Only here, you lose the ability to target creatures, making it kind of silly and pointless. I can, however, see where you're going with this, black makes people lose life, right? Black life loss is usually for one of two purposes: either some sort of trade off that improves your position, or it affects everybody. I would change this card to either: everyone loses 1 or 2 life. Or I would make it so that a player pays life to draw a card. At level 1-3 it's 3 life for a card, at level 4, 2 life for a card. You can't make it too little life or it'll end up OP.

I'd have to agree with you there. I never thought that the red and black lands were similar.

This is a really nasty card...Perhaps it should be a card from the top of their library instead? Or maybe -0/-1?
