Colonel Vyacheslava Nowak is the commander of the KSM Anubis Class Destroyer "Steel Fox". She's a dreselandes class clone, originally produced by Kasparov Cia, although her look resembled a standard Jako Shik of the most popular type. Only an intense, and pretty innatural, violet color in her irises was an evident proof of her dreselandes heritage. As many of the original leaders of the KSM forces she preferred to hide the most telltale signs of her nature and did what was possible to resemble an ordinary, common and harmless Jako Shik. Considering how much emphasys the KSM put on espionage, infiltrations and covered operations, that particular ordinary looking was extremely useful.

She's a veteran of both the Rebellion of Clones wars and the Goeliathian Wars, and of course she choosed to fight on the proper side during the events of the Bloody Coup, which radically changed the nature and the balance of powers within the Matriarchy. Thus she's also a very appreciated officer, considered extremely loyal to the new Directorate of the KSM. And this resulted in important assigments.
Although she was originally a commando and an infiltrator, her commanding, tactical and leadership skills persuaded the Directorate that she could have better served the Matriarchy commanding one of the new ships of the military navy, than exposing directly herself into dangerous frontline operations. Her personality is normally coldblooded, calm, authoritarian and assertive, which makes her a perfect commander. Still she often envies her former sisters in arms who instead were assigned to more operative fields, above all her former comrades who were chosen to serve in the Security Service.

Here, she's in command aboard the Steel Fox. And while she occasionally dreams of a major command aboard one of the more havily armed Korsar Class Cruisers (secretly) owned by the Matriarchy, at last she's very satisfied of her current command, as it allows her to take part into exciting missions like this one. To emphasize the strong link to the Security Service, for this mission the Directorate authorized her to dress black gloves and boots on her usual dark blue uniform (which was the color of the military navy), as the full black was the color of the Security Service uniforms. She knew that it was just a sweetener from the Directorate, but she appreciated it as a proof of trust in her.
Rumors among the ship crew suggest that she's involved in a flirt with captain Stinger, who was herself one of her former comrades at the time of the Rebellion of Clones.
