Description We do our soil prep in winter when the rains have made the grass grow and the soil is soft and moist. We till the green growth into the soil where it will enrich the soil when it has decomposed to the form of humus.
Do not work the soil when it is too wet or too dry. Just right soil will break apart when poked with a finger if squeezed into a ball.
