A pair of Utahraptors overlook a forested river valley from a ridgeline.

It's been awhile since I have done any paleoart. I like doing paleoart but it takes preplanning and thought and I do this for fun and to get my mind off of the preplanning and thought of the rest of my day so that's a bit of a deterrent sometimes.

The appearance of these Utahraptors is based off andean condors, especially with the one on the left. I added influence from ostriches as well, the bare legs and neck. I went with dark purple feathers to give them a regal look, a title idea I had for this was the Emperors of Thieves.

Another inspiration for this is me playing Wolfquest AE (a remake of a 2000s wildlife simulator where you play as a dispersal wolf in Yellowstone national park). Anyway, in game I often like going to these giant cliffs overlooking the Lamar Valley, and I'd wait around until sunset or sunrise and sleep there.
