Description
Wanted to practice again with comic style, and when I saw a photo of a (white) lion I knew that I had to draw him. He is such a funny character, with a very strong personality!
For reference - he is the same age as Yava and Stian, and his grandchildren are also the grandchildren of Yava
Full name
Žarko [Last name not decided yet]
(I write it as Zarko as I am normally to lazy to find out how I have to put that thingie on the Z. And honestly I have no clue why I just remove it; don't know how to pronounce it anyway )
Species, gender and race
Siderian, male, Balkan/Russian.
Age (birthdate)
(No clue, but same generation as Yava and Stian)
Birthplace
Somewhere near the Balkan Mountain range. He is East-European / South-Russian. Some mountainous place with a huge lake, a green pine forest and lots of snow in the winter.
Mate
Senka [Last name not decided yet] -- She is very dark brown Burmese or a dark chocolat tanoid variant. At first sight black, but she is lighter (brown) in the thighs/flanks, with spotted mackerel showing through there.
Offspring
At least one son: Kieran.
Kieran is the mate of Winther. You may know Winther as the daughter of Falkner and Yava (see below). Kieran and Winther get two sons: Kjeld and Khean (see below).
Shoulderheight
Slightly above average (around 1.62 m)
Bodybuild
Strongly muscled, a very convex spine (extreme cat-biased bodybuild) and collected, square stance. Relatively long carpals and tarsals, but with big feet. Strong shoulder blades. The lower back and hips are very small, more tiger-like.
Fur
His fur colour was inspired by white lions, but his actual colour now is different from that. Surprise: his base colour is black! But with two types of dilutions (a slight normal dilution and added to that the dilution modifier which makes it more brownish grey) and on top of that inverted golden (hair tips are golden), giving him that light, but cold and greyish golden look.
His hairy ornaments are lighter (a factor that is called ‘flaxen’), thus the fauxhawk/eurohawk hair on the head and neck and along the back have lighter tips. He has a light tail tip and light feet. And very typical for him, he has a light spot in the left side of his neck near his shoulder blade (not visible here because his head is turned).
Voice and manner of speaking
I find this always incredibly different to describe, it’s a matter of opinion… He has a fruity and bold voice. Pretty energetic and easily to follow, although he likes to make cryptic jokes (and somewhat sarcastic, at the expense of others; he’s the provocative type). He likes to make conversation but he is not chatty like Falkner.
Voice references
Týr – Stýrisvølurin (best reference; first inspiration)
Týr –Torsteins Kvaedi
Týr – Brothers Bane
Týr - Alive
Etcetera
(I imagine that he has the same Scandinavian-like, clearly pronounced, accent!)
Dominant feature
His extreme cat-biased backline and collected stance, sturdy and muscular, and with an enjoyable but provocative personality.
Personality and mannerism
At first, he is pretty calm and (over)confident, but also optimistic, humorous and not-so-serious. Other key-words are brave (even proud, but not arrogant), easy-going, funny, teasing, provocative, sometimes a bit (verbally) rude, sarcastic, charismatic (to the ladies), impulsive, upbeat.
I don’t know about his moody moments, don’t know everything about him yet, but it probably involves a middle-finger attitude, like Mr. Bean here . Slap on a mask, and give hell to others.
His son Kieran obviously learns from the best…
