Character is Gravelleaf (grey she-cat w/wings).
I'm finally learning how to draw folded wings correctly. And yes, I think I might have gone a bit overboard with the shading. But it looks pretty...right?

Hi River I have a couple of questions about the Paint Tool SAI thing. I also asked a question on your Riverpaw, Echopaw, and Stonepaw Ask Me's.
First Question: How do you do that shading and lighting affect. Ya know, I saw you used something with shading and lighting on the Shadow Thief and Miss You speedpaints.
Second Question: How do you do the grass and the skyscrapers?

1. I do a lot of different effects for shading/lighting in both photoshop and SAI. I'm not sure which one you're talking about specifically, but I think it best just to experiment with different things, maybe look up some tutorials or watch a few speedpaints in slow motion, and see if you can figure out your own techniques.
I'll be making a new lighting/shading tutorial soon I think.
2. I do all the backgrounds on Photoshop. It takes a lot of time and patience, but I just use a few photos from google as references and copy. There's a grass tool in Photoshop, so that's how I do grass. XD
And not really. But that last one is pretty freaky. What is that duck so happy about?! Why is it shaking it's tail?!!!! O.O These questions must be answered!!! XDΒ
