This....was a really fun pain in the ass.

I said I wanted to make some comics about them meeting, and you guys seemed interested, so here's how Night (banette), and River met! River was a 9 year old tomboy, but still a geek. Night was...looking for someone, and he scared River accidentally. YAY!
For any confused about why he looks so bitter when River said she needed to leave, I got two words for you: abandonment issues.
Anyway, this took way too long and I have to get back to actual work.

The child who abandoned him.
Banettes are pokemon evolved from Shuppets, who are pretty much spirits who feed on negative energy. They hover around people, and (now this is head canon territory) when they grow attached to someone (normally a child) they inhabit a toy that the child likes. However, if that toy is eventually abandoned, that's when a shuppet evolves into a banette, and banettes hold deep grudges against the children who abandoned them.
