I've tried drawing Al, quite a few times, and have failed every time! I can't understand how the animators can draw him over and over again without missing some small detail. I always do.

Yeah, I have. I've always been a little surpirsed they don't just use 3D models instead of the big complicated guys like they do in most animes now.
