My Character: Riza Rhapsodos

Riza Rhapsodos is a calm, caring, cautious, generous, hardworking, honest and quiet girl. She grew up without knowing her parents who had been killed shortly after she was born. She was adopted by her eccentric grandfather.

Riza was born with the inability to use magic. People without the ability to use magic are very rare. Riza was often shunned or hated by other children and adults because of being different. Her grandfather (a renowned mage) loved his granddaughter despite everything.

Riza was 12 when she was kidnapped from her grandfather's home by a rogue group of men. She was hurt and tormented by them for 6 and a half months before she was able to escape. She escaped into the woods that surrounded the place she was held captive. She ran into a strange man with auburn hair and bright violet eyes. The mysterious man gave her a ruby necklace on a silver chain and told her to keep it close to her. Riza unfortunately passed out from exhaustion and three days later woke up in the hospital with her grandfather watching over her.

Riza met the mysterious man a month later, though he was in the form of a large cat. She could tell it was him by the strange lilt of his voice. The man, well cat now introduced himself as Moon, a rare spirit like being who had been tasked to help Riza. Moon explained to Riza that she was a very unique girl despite her inability to use magic.

At age 15 Riza met Havi Rainvale, a prodigy mage who began to study under her grandfather. Havi was one of the very few people who didn't care if she could use magic or not. Over the years the two grew closer and closer together.

When Riza was 18 she stumbled upon a little pup who had been abandoned. She took the puppy in and cared for her. She found out from her grandfather that the puppy was a very rare Elemental Wolf. Riza named her Dark Nation (DN for short).

Unfortunately when Riza turned 20 her grandfather passed away. Riza spent the rest of the year studying in college so she could graduate early.

At 21 Havi asked Riza to marry him and she agreed. They bought a place of their own and moved in together shortly before they were married.

Riza now works as Havi's assistant teacher in a world renowned magic school.

I've spent several days on both her reference sheet and her bio sheet. I just love Riza so much! She's one of my characters that I just love to draw. She's one of my oldest characters too. Hope you like her!
