"Tang And The Journey To The West" is a 1997 family, adventure film based on the 16th century Chinese novel "Journey to the West" (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journey_… ). It was created by Paramount and premired in cinemas on June 19th 1997

The movie is about Tang Sanzang who was chosen by his master to go on a journey to the Thunder Monastery in India to collect Buddha's scriptures, although Tang has never been there before. Along the way, Tang comes across three demons who become his disciples; Sun Wukong, Sha Wujing and Zhu Bajie, who join in with Tang's journey to collect the scriptures while also avoiding and facing the obstecles and demons that come across the group along the way, including, the worst of all... The White Bone Demon!
