Last time I am redoing Ewan. Changed the markings majorly. Went back to Allucen with how the stripes are done. Ewans are the red and black stripes *red being main* then the white and black Allucen had. Face stayed the same set up wise *forhead marking changed some* Underbelley coloring changed a lot now. Dustrunners will officaly have underbelly color on there face from now on. Feet are now up higher were base coloring is. And even though you cannot see the hands the red markings go all the way to the wrist now then being basic stripes. Pants also went back to having the split all the way down the side of the legs and held by leather straps and roping. Also did not put the armor plates on the arms. Mainly so I can show off the warmers on him.
From here on out I refuse to do anything else to him. Dustrunners now have there own mark compared to the rest of the other raptors out there. This is just a frontal view for a reference I will do for him. Need to do a back and side view, how armor plates lay on him, weapons, and possibly do a view of his hand without the warmers on so people can see how his hands really look.

This is perhaps one of your best art I've come across yet.
His markings and colorings were amazing and his clothes' colors blends well with his brown skin. The clothes' design was also impressive, especially his arm warmers.
I must admit that he looks so cool, I just wanna give him a nice, big, tight hug (if he don't mind the tightness).

Well first of all, even though you already know this, I'm really really sorry about the mess I made... I really shouldn't have been so hard on you about the whole issue and for that I'm extremely sorry. I can't really make any excuses... I should've addressed these things when I was in a better state of mind. But I didn't... I also want to, if possible, take back that remark I had on the ink you did of the cat anthro (female) on the fence in the park or somesuch.. It was kinda uncalled for... usually I'm not that picky... I dunno what came over me. So yeah. I'm just really sorry about everything, and I hope that maybe you could forgive me someday lol. I think, as you said on the journal I deleted, that both of us were not in very good moods at the time, and probably why things turned out so bad as they did.
I want to make it up to you somehow... I want to do giftart of Ewan and his brother Naal, but you don't have any ref or anything for him yet so... I'll probably wait on it until you do.
I do like the newer design though, it's definitely more original now that you've gone back to your original designs from Allucen's creation, I definitely like the dual stripes, it's a really fantastic idea I often found myself wishing I'd thought of after I'd seen Allucen's first appearance. ^^ You're so much more creative than me dearie, you have no clue lol. I often feel I don't deserve the popularity I have because of that... But oh well. I do my best nowadays not to copy anything from anyone. Inspiration's a crazy thing and hard to control sometimes, so I can understand how that is. 
Anyways.... I also like the new clothing design too. :3 I'm going to be altering Masurao's slightly too so his arm armour is different from Ewan's by a considerable amount.. I'll probably end up going back to some of my original designs and tweaking them a bit. But uh.... what else was I gonna say.....
Oh yeah. More importantly I thank you on my hands and knees that you made the changes to your race that you did... I usually have a hard time trying to get others to change their designs willingly lol, so thank you. I don't think it will affect your Dustrunners' popularity at all to be honest, they're still cool if not better now. Sometimes change is for the better.

It is ok. I forgive you. I also took it out of context and got somewhat defensive on my own. And yes we both were not in very good moods and took it out on each other in some way. So it is all ok.
Naal's reference will hopefuly be done today. Or at least the lineart for it *yay for no class* So he will be up soon. And you dont have to. And on the topic of the stripes. I think they are growing on me again. So I thank you for harping on me, cause now my Dustrunners do have a more orignal feel to them now. Their colors somewhat go from Dustrunner to Dustrunner. It is just their color will change depending on where they live *desert to mountain will have defenate changes*
Ewans arm armor will not change. It will always stay the three plates just the carving design will change from set to set. Mainly so that each one will have a different element it can negate *like an armor that can reduce water damange, another that can reduce fire, and so on* But the basic design will not change at all. So that should make it better on everyone that his design there will not change. I liked how Masy had the armor that had the huge blade things coming out of it. Perfect up close weapons. But it is up to you.
*shrug* It was bound to happen I guess. And we dont need any legeal battels in the future. Cause it dont matter if we see that they are not the same. If the people that copyright the stuff does one of us may get in troubel *last thing I need is ESRB on my case* It is ok. I knew eventualy you may get on my case just like everyone else does. After seeing Nanu change her design I knew sooner or later I would have to as well.

Well, I suppose with so many raptors here now this was going to happen eventually, but he still looks great. x3 It must be a nightmare trying to keep your race separate from everyone else's... 0-o Plus, there's only so much that can be done to a raptor without changing the species entirely...

congratulations hun, these markings are both stylish and intelligently concieved as well.
i especially like the way that the two stripes fall over the eyes, and that the belly colour sits over the snout as well, they realy mark your colour scheeme out as something more unique.
now please, stand by your design, OK? if anyone else contacts you to tell you how yours looks like theirs, ignore them. your onto a winner here, and everyone will want a part of that, either that or to destroy your idea before it is even fully grown.
hang in there, and have the courage to stand and fight. i'll support you as best i can, you know that.
so i was reading some of the above comments, and it seems that you have quite a fanbase for your dustrunners, and quite a few people are also developing their own versions as well. isn't it wierd to think that thats how your dustrunners came about in the first place, as your version of my lizard men, who were my version of the type of lizard men that you see in any standard fantasy world?
its wierd to watch the idea mutate and swirl around from one concept to annother, changing slightly as each person puts their own unique stamp on it.

Dont worry. I am standing behind them now. If I do anything else to them I think I will make them to hard to in fact rendor in 3D. I know I am already going to have hell when it comes to the stripes now @_@ And I did say I refused to change them *style of stripes and body* anymore. Clothing can change if I want to, but this outfit will stay. Heck I have to make a winter and a trible outfit for Ewan alone still. And yea I guess my Dustrunners have a semi fanbase. I know I have a few people that are behind them all the way. While a few are interested in the game. Which I dont mind either way.
I guess it is funny to see how ideas can change from one person to another. And how their race can be the same to one, yet different all together. Of corse I wish some people would understand that, and not jump on saying, 'oh your got the idea for this from this person' while in fact it was off of a totaly different source. I hate when people accuse someone of that. And then that person is forced to change their idea because they are trying to defend themselves or even yet if they were the ones that inspired the other and changes it because they are sick of how they are being accused for not being orignal. Drives me nuts.
And thanks for the support. I hope these changes will be for the better and make my race stand out on there own now.

Geh. That's exactly what happened to me. Don't get me wrong, I think Abydos's clan looks far better now so the change was good in the end. But I was sick and tired of being accused of copying HG and her recieving all the credit constantly, so I had to change in order to defend myself too. I'm not sure if this is smart to say, but I've realized something in general (not just HG).....the more pageviews you have the more "original" you are. Cause people see your stuff first. Alltho, it doesn't apply to me anymore. x____x;; This is all so confusing. I like the changes you made to the DustRunners even though it's minute (sp?) and hopefully things work out f here.

Even the smallest changes can make a big deal in the long run. And I am trying to keep the foot anatomy orignal. I know she is going directly off of the way raptor feet are saposed to be and I am trying to keep it a bit different. I agree with you. Abydos looks far much better that way, not of offent you at all. She just has a much cleaner look to her now then before. Also I bet it makes it easyer for you to make the markings then before with stripes >^^<;;; Did not meen to offend you at all.

I made my raptors have slighly larger feet then normal, and the main claw is actuly displaced on the foot when it comes to the bone structor in it so that way it can bend a bit father back giving the foot more movement. Yea for more Aby XD

So does this mean that the people who do the future Dustrunners have to follow the new changes? i'm still a big fan of your dustrunners lol. I've gotten quite used to it. Sadly yes. People will have to folllow the new markings. But I am giving free-rane with the stripes some. People can have the larger stripe as the main stripe color, and the smaller one as the secondary color, or vice a virsa.

I recommend looking up fossils or reference images of actual raptor feets, because they look slightly different from how you have protrayed them here. It might help you improve his design greatly.

And if I go that way they will cross with HG's raptor race. So no I am not going to do that, the feet look fine to me. And to me if the feet go smaller he will have a hard time in standing up correctuly, like he will toppel over in one direction sooner or later.

I know of the claws, but I like how he is set up. Makes it a bit more orignal in its own way in staying away from the orignal animal.

Actually personally I'd think making them more anatomically correct to the animal would make them look better... I wouldn't "breathe fire" on you just for altering their anatomy so it makes more sense lol. The only thing that would bother me were if they looked exactly like Masurao or something... or really close to... and since you've changed him around some I don't have any reason to get after you about anything.

I may change it to be correct seeing people keep brining it up, but I like them like this. Also personaly for me I think that keeping them different in the feet as well will pull them apart from each other *also modling is a bit easyer in lightwave while the feet are like this. And if I did change them they would loke Masy's for they are correct and I would be to much of a stickler to make them look like a real raptors. So I am not going to go that way.

Yeah, I can understand that. I guess what I meant was to make the sickle clawed toe look more like it was attached correctly to the foot... not to sound mean or anything. I used to draw my sickle claw toes the same way until I tried to make it look like it connected like a toe does. Maybe not add the other toe like real raptors have, but make his already existing toes look more correct and functional. His two outside toes look ok though.

Actuly I had one in the works for the race in general. But because of the change now I have to drop the images I was going to use and do up some new ones. >_< and I was going to use my raptor Roy as a ref image as well, but now I cannot for he is not in lines with the rest of the race, but I may redo him as well just so he is >^^< Well that is two people that think the underbelly color was a good move. And thanks. I thought he looked almost like a cat with the colors on his face like that.

Only now that you said something that I can see it a little. I didn't see any feline bits about the coloring. It add to the mental imagery in my head when morphing a raptor to a human better... and in color! I feel you on the whole frustrated feelings of redoing stuff. I've been mildly inspired by various dinosaurian anthros to do a some what neglected dino anthro. Plus I'm more into the herbavores myself.

I was making a game around these guys. And having my orignal characters as well as in there *main characters as well that you play and interact with* But if the thing with the Dustrunner issue does not let up then I may go back on lean on some older characters I made, redo them *I am anyway*, and make them the main base of the game and then Rizyu may be the ture main character as well. But I want to keep it around my Dustrunners for it is not often *at least i have seen* you play as an anthro character as the main focus.

Wow a game. That is way futher then what I was expecting (i should really start reading your journals). But wow a game. That sounds so cool and orignal. I think it would be a really cool idea.
Just one word of advice, form someone who has wasted about the last 15 years of her life playing games, make it as hard as possible. I pass easly games the day when I buy them. And make sure it's scary as hell w/ alot of button mashing! I love button mashing

We are thinking PS3 or X Box 360. Depending on which system has the best graphics, and does not die easly on the market. We plan to make it hard, and I really dont like button mashers to much, but they are fun. I do know it will have an RPG, Action/Adventure feel to it. Something like Tales of Symphonia in a way mixed with some other RPG's I have played in the past.

We would want to keep it on the lower systems, but they are going to possibly die soon *which is sad* and if two of the guys get their way. They want to make there own game console system up. And my game idea will be an exclusive to that system only. But I dont know how well that will work out so I am still keeping my mind open to having the game up on another system just in case.

I like Ewan's colour design, but overall, I'll always like Allucen cause of the awesome design and originality I suppose. The colours in Ewan's outfit really seem to work well. Your CGing skills have improved this past year quite a bit too. I like how there's no shading on this, my CGs tend to look much better just as flatcolours.

Actuly the reason I changed him is because she wanted me to. Because my dustrunners look far to much like him in her opinion. So I changed him because I knew if I did not then she would keep on me to change him >_< Besides Allucen was orignal in his markings. so I just took over parts from him again and put them to the race itself. Just so that they will stay away from HG's race for the most part and keep not only her, but her fans off of me as well. If you want I can try and help with a clan name for your race. I would go with something that is sleek for they look that way with the basic markings *which by the way are totaly awsome*
Thanks. I never notice my own skills improving untill I do a major leap in coloring style that works out well. And for me that is not often. And I will agree. Doing flatcolors is much nicer. Dont have to worry about lighing source in screwing that up.

I wouldn't mind having some help with the name, cause I've considering something along the lines of "tri(something)" cause of the 3rd claw or involving the sleek appeal but I'm sort of lost. Also, not to sound mean...>.>; but I wouldn't want to have to copyright the name to you all the time if it works and whatnot. Sorries, that'd just add to all the copyright junk. moo. My race is actually uber strick in design and I most likely won't make a race sheet or allow others, cause they'd pretty much be duplicates of Aby and Washi. (the mate Dagger made for Abydos) 'Specially since we have a side story in mind. x.x

Well, you could mess with variations in other languages for a name. "Drei Krallenzehe" means "Three Claw Toe" or "Drei Zehe" means "Three Toed" in German. Drei Zehe is simple like thier markings and it incorperates your three/tri desire for the name. Just an idea.

Drei Krallenzehe = Dry Craw-len-zay-uh and Drei Zehe = Dry Zay-uh. Not too hard, but I hope it helps.
