Thanks! I went during the day on a Monday so it was pretty quiet. I believe that I encountered less than 15 other tail users so yes, it was pretty surreal, just the way I likes it!

The scenery looks stunning! You lot in the US are lucky to have so much space. Here in the UK, most places you visit, especially in summer, are full of people, which spoils the atmosphere.

I hear ya! Touristy people get in the way just milling about lost with no purpose. I try to visit the more popular places in the off seasons or first thing in the AM as folks don't rise very early. If I can visit during the week, it cuts down on the crowds. Of course some of the places are just plain in the middle of nowhere and ones folks have little interest in. Those are my favourites!

I hadn't even heard of the Peavine until a week or so ago when my girlfriend was researching the crane that seems to have fallen along the Dock off of Grande Ave... Beautiful shot!
