these are really cool, also very creepy. Sorta like what the planet would look like once we abandon it. Like a Zombie apocalypse or an out break.

Not odd at all, I've seen it done effectively both ways. I feel that the lack of colour further expresses the abandonment. Art refecting attitude much?

It burned in the 1920's and was subsequently rebuilt. It was closed in 1959 and some jerkweed burned it in 1992. It happens a lot with abandonded structures sadly...
