Admittedly, when I first saw this piece in March, I did not like it. I thought it was too dark and that all your usual great detail was lost in that darkness. But over time I've come back to this piece again and again to review/rethink upon it. And now I realize that it is in the darkness you can find the detail, subtleties, and the skill that make it superb. The shadows and the subtle details are what make this rock. Yeah, it easy to create a shiny slick looking bike/model with perfect reflection & lighting, but a piece like this with the hard lighting upfront with the rest almost blending into the background is more of a challenge to pull off. Too dark, and you loose all the detail, too bright and it looks like every other bike artwork. A deft hand was at work here to pull this off. Great job!
