Well, well, well...what do we have here?
I was trying a few things with this piece:
Not directly copy my reference
Simplify my layers/colors (less is more...) Try a new style while searching for my own Give off a summer vibe (not sure I got there lol)I might have hit some of those...missed others. Oh well. The title came from a song I was listening to. lol. Enjoy it!

This is one of your best works because it shows how far you've come. Honestly, it's brilliant.
Of the things you wanted to accomplish I believe you've hit 4/5 SMACK ON, and a bit of the remaining one. You have caught posture very, very well.
You have captured expression extremely well.
You are ABSOLUTELY right about the colours, and you've pulled them off. There's almost a retro feel to them too imo.
The shading is the part the has improved the most I believe.

I was really trying to break away in this piece so I'm glad that fact is getting noticed.
Yeah I get a retro vibe from it too. I can't seem the stay away from the retro colors. lol. You should see some of the stuff I do for work. I love the retro! lol.
I'm glad you liked the shading as well. I was going for a simpler look then in my previous vectors (ex. Lily Allen or Avatar). I'm glad it ended up working out!
