Description Ganondorf (Wind Waker)
Trying not to put too many final bosses in cause they're obviously great, but this one deserves special mention. The atmosphere is gorgeous, and I love the fact that Zelda joins the fight in this one. I wish she'd do that more often. There's also a lot of fun that can be had messing around with this fight. Attack Zelda enough times and she'll turn her bow against you. Get behind Ganondorf and whip out your shield when this happens and watch the magic. You can also hit her with the grappling hook if you're low on hearts. Needless to say I've spend a lot of time with this boss battle.

Ghot (Majora's Mask)
It's a shame the mask transformations concept wasn't ever used again, but that's something that makes this game special. And since using the dungeon item against the boss is a sticking point for some, I guess it's refreshing that this isn't the case. This is also the boss least butchered by the 3DS version aside from the final one.

Koloktos (Skyward Sword)
This guy appears on every top Zelda bosses list for a reason. Great dungeon and great boss. Using the whip to pull off the arms is cool enough on its own, but then getting to use those massive swords on it is pure catharsis. And this is another boss where you can get him to break pillars for hearts, for people who care about that detail.

Posessed Nayru (Oracle of Ages)
In a game largely focused on puzzles it's fitting that this one stumped me for a while. Then I thought back to Veran's disdain toward Mystery Seeds and it clicked. It's especially satisfying when you have to angle the shots off walls.

Ganon (Ocarina of Time)
Had to. The presentation, the build-up to this was beautiful. And of course the atmosphere... unless you're playing the 3DS version. Which I get, cause that tiny screen must be hard enough to see already. Hopefully if we get a Switch remaster of this game they'll keep the lighting OG.

Gyorg Pair (Minish Cap)
Wasn't Gyorg a fish before?Β

Vaati's Wrath (Minish Cap)
Like the above, this one's puts the admittedly underused split technique to good use, forcing you to dodge obstacles and keep your clones intact until you can deal damage. Destroying the arms using your tiny powers is a little weird and I never would have thought to use the cane of Pacci at this point, but it's still interesting.

Shadow Hag (Oracle of Ages)
In my top ten dungeons the Moonlit Grotto made the list for introducing the seed shooter and using it in some clever ways. The boss of that dungeon is no exception. I remember being frustrated that I could attack the boss, as it would dip away into the ground the moment you look at her. I have to applaud them for requiring the seeds to bounce of walls, specifically by making you turn your back on the boss and shoot the wall in front of you.

Helmarok King (Wind Waker)
The skull hammer is a pretty satisfying weapon to use, and what better boss than the one that started all of Link's troubles in this adventure? I can't take him seriously without his mask though. He looks like a demonic Foghorn Leghorn.

Morpheel (Twilight Princess)
Starting off with an homage to Morpha from Ocarina I expected that to be the entire boss, so I was surprised when it burst out of the ground and started swimming around in all its massive, teethy glory. Admittedly the part after that is super easy, but it's still an awesome moment when you hookshot onto its back and start stabbing away at the eye on it.
