Description
The Ford Model B, a short-lived car bridging the gap between the Model A and the V-8 series, came in several variants. This 1932 "woody wagon," a station wagon with wooden bodywork, is displayed at the California Automobile Museum in Sacramento. The next year, the Model B was discontinued in America due to the decreasing demand for four-cylinder-engined cars, but it continued to be sold in Europe, where the tax laws made four-cylinder engines cheaper than V-8 engines. These days, a modern V-4 engine can put out as much power as an older V-8 with much less fuel consumption.
