Description The EMD E-series A1A-A1A passenger diesel locomotives (and the general aesthetic also applied to the F-series) originated under EMC, which produced six streamlined EA/EB sets (1800 hp per unit) for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad's modernization of its top express trains.  Only EA 51 (EMC, 1937) has survived into the 21st century, and is back on display in the B&O Railroad Museum's North Car Shop after a thorough cosmetic restoration that included reapplying the original livery and chrome shield around the headlight.
