Description
During the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the MTA subway Cortlandt Street Station under the World Trade Center was heavily damaged, but the line reopened a year later and the station reopened in September 2018 as part of New York City's long recovery. This sign and section of wall from Cortlandt Street Station are displayed in the 9/11 gallery of the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn.
