Description These electric railcars on display at SCMAGLEV and Railway Park in Nagoya trace the development of electric limited express trains in Japan.  Electric multiple unit (EMU) trains began running on limited express services in the 1930s, as represented by railcar Moha 52004 "Ryuden" on the right.  By the 1970s, there were two types of limited expresses: main-line trains (Kuha 381.1, center) and Shinkansen bullet trains (Series 0 driving car 21.86, left).
