J.C. McDougall's O.S. Live Steam model of an H.K. Porter "Mogul" 2-6-0 steam locomotive, which seems to be based on the Hokkaido Railway's first engines of the early 1880s (Yoshitsune/Benkei/Shizuka/etc.), is displayed at the Toronto Railway Museum. O.S. Live Steam was a Japanese model train manufacturer, so using a Hokkaido Mogul as a reference for an American-style engine makes sense.
