Description
The Canadian Pacific Railway's John Street Roundhouse includes a 120-foot turntable built by the Canadian Bridge Company in 1929, concurrently with the roundhouse itself, and restored by Western Mechanical of Barrie for the Toronto Railway Museum in 2007. It is now powered by compressed air and still used by the museum. Here is how it appeared after a snowfall when I visited Canada last winter.
