Description
One of the most common military trainers of the 1920s was the French Hanriot HD.14 biplane, of which over 2100 aircraft were built, most for the French Air Force. Three companies were licensed to build local copies of the HD.14: Centralne Warsztaty Lotnicze (CWL, more recently PZL) and Samolot/Bartel for the Polish Air Force, and Mitsubishi for the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) Air Service. Other users included the Belgian, Bulgarian, Estonian, Mexican, Soviet, and Spanish air forces. This model of the Japanese version is on display at the Mitsubishi Minatomirai Industrial Museum in Yokohama.
kanyiko Are any HD.14s or full-size replicas preserved? By the way for a while I thought the company name was just Anrio as it's written アンリオ in Japanese and I started getting too used to transcribing phonetically.
