If this weathered bay window caboose sitting outside the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania were restored, then visitors could see that it is Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad caboose No. 508, which was built by the P&LE's own McKees Rocks workshop in 1950 to a New York Central design and taken from the Aliquippa railyard to Strasburg in 1991 by museum volunteer Earl Kinard.
