Description
Before the Series 0 bullet trains entered service on the Tokaido Shinkansen, they were subjected to intensive testing by JNR. On March 30, 1963, 2-car test-type train A set a new rail speed record: 256 kilometers/hour (160 miles/hour). An H0-scale (1:87) model of A is on display at SCMAGLEV and Railway Park in Nagoya.Related content
