WHAT!!! sorry. Akira is an movie based off of an epic manga run done by Katsuhiro Otomo. the movie adaptation of the books was ground breaking for the quality and tone of it. But the movie only touched on a small percentage of what the books told. From and artistry standpoint the manga is absolutely amazing and upper detailed. Otomo is an amazing draftsman and visual story teller.
