Roy and Dapplepaw meet for the first time since they were kits.

Roy knew what those yowls were all the way from the gathering place. Shaking himself awake, he climbed to the top of the large oak tree to get a better view. In the distance, he saw probably 30 cats fighting viciously. He tensed a bit, wondering if he should intervene. Then again, June would be there. Shakily, he jumped back down from the tree. What was he going to do? Just run into the middle of the fighting cats and just join in? He thought this as he slowly made his way onto Settingclan territory. The screeching cats got closer and closer, and Roy felt his stomach churn inside of him. "June!" He called out, slowly getting closer to the frenzy. He looked around; finally spotting her fighting with a long haired golden shecat. Instinct kicked in, and he raced to help her.

"June!" He roared, leaping onto her opponent. The two of them rolled around in the sand. The shecat was clearly stronger and much more highly trained, because despite her being slightly smaller, she soon had him pinned. Not looking into her eyes, Roy kicked as hard as he could on her exposed belly. She hissed and flew a fox length in front of him. He got up, and got ready to charge. Suddenly, however, the two locked eyes.

Her eyes... the same hazel green as his. Her fur... just the same long and messy length as his. And... and her markings... "You two look identical! The same!" Roy's father, Gladius, had told them. "I mean, not really. Echo come here. Yes. Identical." Roy had looked at his sister and frowned. "Dad! We look nothing alike!" He insisted. His father just laughed, and said, "Well not color wise. But your markings are identical. You're are just grey. Look! You both have the little flame on your forehead."

Sure enough, when Roy looked closer at the shecat, she had the signature flame marking on her forehead. She snarled and began to lunge at him. "Wait! Lucy stop!" His words worked. Lucy stopped at once, and stared into his eyes. Her mouth hung open for what seemed like ages.

It was her. It was his sister he had spent ages searching for. It was her. His sister who he never gave up looking for, even if she may have died.

The two stared at eachother for what seemed like an eternity, only to be broken by the small voice of Juniperpaw.

"Roy?"
