Description
Done for CGHub's Creature Forge, this piece isn't really finished but I kinda had enough of looking at it, and would like to get on with something else. I always seem to spend too much time on these swampy/forest paintings.Related content

Awesome job Rob, the amount of detail in this is insane! Then again i would have expected nothing less from yourself. There are some really nice textures in here.
The one thing that bugs me about the overall piece (and i know you said it was unfinished so sorry in advance) is the black section at the top. It implies that its night time yet the way its lit and the blue fog coming through the trees suggests otherwise. It slightly confuses the piece, but part from that its awesome.

thanks, not much else was needed but the trees needed to be more refined and the characters at the bottom look a little too much like clay figures to my likening, I also wanted to add a few other little critters around the environment as well, to make the piece look a bit more alive.

Well, I encourage you to finish the piece. You have a good start on it and I think it would be a shame to let it slip away unfinished.

yeah, no worries, I will finish it eventually, just got tired of looking at it for the time being, sometimes it's better to take a break before finishing something, cuz then I take a fresh look at it and find other issues that I'd miss while painting it originally.
