And just the right amount of snow too. I really don't like snow much although there is something nice about a blizzard because it's so quiet and you're trapped inside, hopefully with good food and a great book.

Yeah, snows all pretty to look at but I hate having to drive in it.Β  Would much rather be curled up in the warm.

Oh this looks really cool! We don't get snow over here
But why is it marked as mature?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Rob66 In reply to FairyPrincessJess [2018-01-04 12:34:42 +0000 UTC]

I mark everything mature out of habit.Β  I suppose I can change that one!

We're getting more snow todayΒ  Β  Courts are closed in some counties and I opted to work from home!

We got drowned Christmas Eve, then chilled today, but never any snow in central Jersey. Still, as long as yours didn't prevent travel, a white Christmas can be quite serene and set the mood perfectly.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Rob66 In reply to Mr-Timeshadow [2017-12-26 10:17:36 +0000 UTC]

Didn't affect travel at all. It never really stuck to the roads and the plows never came out. Hopefully, that's it for the winter lol

Mr-Timeshadow In reply to Rob66 [2017-12-27 03:11:12 +0000 UTC]

Ah, good! I am relievd to hear that your holiday wasn't dangerous. I remember back when the aunt and uncle who used to come to our house at Christmas (they are now both gone, alas) had to abandon their planned drive because we had a major storm Christmas Day. It was a nasty mix of heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain. The place was decorated, and we had one of those Whitman samplers ready for our guests. I don't remember if we had actually cooked the turkey or anything else, but I do remember sitting on the couch, watching the storm rage outside, and paying partial attention to a showing of Amal and the Night Visitors airing with great hype.

Rob66 In reply to Cracoviia [2017-12-26 14:45:07 +0000 UTC]

Pretty and not inconvenient is the perfect way to describe it.Β  My unrealistic hope is that we have no more snow till next ChristmasΒ

I hope it was a nice one even if it was a wet Christmas!!!

We had some snow like 1 cm that melted by the afternoon like to days ago down here in Oklahoma. But it's pretty cloudy right now so who knows maybe it will snow, Probably after Christmas

We're lucky if we get snow at all! And in the very best case it only ever last 3 days unless it's an ice storm then that's not snow at all

Bondage-Addicted [2017-12-25 18:50:23 +0000 UTC]

Heh, we had a bit of snow ourselves, but it gave a Code Red so I'm kinda glad it's gone!

It's a beautiful sight though!

lolΒ  One of my mom's friends spent 2 hours on the tarmac yesterday before they had to de-ice her plane and let them take off from O'Hare!Β  Better you guys than meΒ  Β  Β Merry Christmas!!!

dungeonguy59 In reply to Rob66 [2017-12-27 04:04:21 +0000 UTC]

Only two hours on the ground at O'Hare doesn't sound too bad, that's almost average for a nice sunny day in the summer sometimes. But now fun today, drove about 100 miles and never saw the temperature above like 4 in the middle of the afternoon. Really fun to change a flat tire in, wished I was on the next plane to FL with the camera, and a case full of bondage goodies, of course.Β
