Blue and Gold/superhero best buds, Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) and Booster Gold (Michael Carter).

Blue Beetle/Ted Kord, Genius, invented a suit that was high tech and full of gadgets that started him on his superhero career. He also inherited a mysterious scarab from the original Blue Beetle, Dan Garrett. The scarab didn’t work for Ted, but it did for his successor, Jaime Reyes.

Booster Gold/Michael Carter came from the future…the 25th Century. He basically robbed the museum he was working at, as a janitor, and “borrowed” Rip Hunter’s Time Machine and came to the 21st Century to become a superhero…using his superior tech, along with his robot pal, Skeets. He’s a glory hound and a bit of an a$$, but his heart is in the right place (his chest, I think).
