Robin/Damian Wayne is the son of Bruce Wayne (Batman) and Talia al Ghul. Since Talia is the daughter of Batman’s arch enemy, Ra’s al Ghul (AKA the Demon’s Head), that makes old Ra’s Damian’s grandfather and kinda sorta Batman’s father-in-law. Damian was artificially aged to about 10 years old and raised to be an assassin, which is logical, since his grandfather is the Head of the League of Assassins. Bruce was unaware that he even had a son until Talia decided it was time for Damian to meet his father. Naturally, Batman decided to make his son the fifth Robin. He just has to curb kid’s inclination to kill everyone. Families can be so complicated.
