his shirt is funny because in the picture on some parts you can't even tell it's patterned so i'm not quite sure what i'm gonna do about that. we'll see lol. anyway, i can't wait to finish it!

you're right about it being harder to make it not look flat. i think it looks a bit flat in the nose to cheek area but i think that adding the background will really add some depth and hopefully it looks better with that.
what do you mean by different? different as in not the way i usually draw hair or different as in it doesn't look how it's supposed to?
if you somehow have miraculously seen the reference picture then yeah i have lengthened the highlights a bit. i thought it would be more eyecatching. it makes it less boring too

well i think they might look longer because i've varied them a bit, so i've shortened some and left the others the same length. so it makes the ones i haven't changed look longer. like an optical illusion or something lol. but i change stuff around all the time so who knows
