Once again, I really enjoyed listening to your rants
(and I can't deny, it feels nice to be mentioned at the beginning of the first part 
I just checked out videos about the Earthbound/Mother-series and Chrono Resurrection.
Damn, especially Resurrection looked so great, it's hard to understand why SquareEnix would shut those down.
It's understandable that the big companies want to make money (and it's obviously important for them to do so), but it's such a huge shame how they put locks onto fan-projects like this. Not to mention that they kill a lot of fan-interest that way.
SE is definetly loosing my respect more and more...

All your SketchRantz say, "any soapbox would be 'pround' to be stood on. If that makes sense." I thought because of the last line it was an inside joke. I like games but I figured it was just from something I haven't played. Cause it's on all of them.

I got so much anger out of Chrono Ressurection being shut down. Mostly cause it would have been SO-MUCH-BETTER than Chrono Cross. And Sega seems to be doing the same dumbshit move with other fan made games - Streets of Rage compilation, Sonic 3 3d- etc. Companies seem to get jealous and automatically shut down theses project, missing opportunities to make good revenues with theses franchises. Instead, we get crappy Golden Axe, Sonic without air momentum physic and a graveyard of good franchises that arent considered money makers but remain classic games.
