This is by far, your best piece, but I'm sure you know that. The only thing I can see that's really needed here is more shading. I'd focus on the nose a little more to give it definition, but other than that just try to make the darkest areas darker and see what happens.
Is this on paper? I noticed that your dots are not all points, and that some seem to be more like squiggles ...

I have cerebral palsy, my hand shakes a little when I draw and gets a bit worse as I get into it. Sometimes when I do multiple layers the dots look like squiggles after a while too. It's on paper. I just finished making some of the stuff darker. Tell me what you think. Let me upload it.

No problem. I have been using Clayboard for a couple of years now, so if I happen to make a mistake or don't like a certain area I can rub it out and do it over. It doesn't happen often, but it's nice to know that I can do it if I need to.

That's pretty cool. I'll have to have a look around and see if I can find some in the area. Is it hard to ship a Clayboard piece? I was wondering about something, what's your usual layout for your pieces? I started using the grid method with the tiger piece but I'm wondering if there's a better way? I'm going to have a look around and see if I can find a projector on the cheap and see if my detail work can be improved before I start laying ink down.

Clayboard is not unlike a gesso board, but with more applications. I don't quite understand your question about "layouts", so you are going to have to be more specific there. I think I still have a cheap projector if you want it. Let me know and I'll begin the hunt for it.
Be aware that if you lay down too much pencil work that it might show up on close observation. If you don't mind that then putting a lot of detail in before you begin to ink should not be a problem.

Oh, I meant how do you usually start your pieces? Do you just eyeball everything or do you do pencil layouts, stuff like that. There's a guy on DA who prints out what he's going to work on at 10% opacity and goes over everything in ink. The finished works look amazing but I don't think he learns a lot with each piece.

If the guy you are talking about is the one I think, I'd say his is using the computer more then you think he is. How many pointillist do you know that have a count of how many dots they've made? I'm also guessing that he has yet to answer any of your question that might even seem a bit probing ....

I'm talking about a guy who does buildings almost exclusively. He has dots in his name but I can't remember the rest of it. One of his pieces has been a DD and he says that he takes a picture, prints it out at 10% opaqueness and colours it in.

I think that if I spent more than a day on a project I might-- if I'm lucky-- be able to do what she can.

I am in freaking love with pointillism-- I don't know why but I can do it for what seems like ages. Thanks.

Same here! It's so relaxing, almost like meditation.
I laugh at people who call it hard. XD Cause it's so not.
And you're welcome! :3
