Description
This is the third and final picture in my trilogy of paintings depicting hybrid Marvel and Star Wars characters.
For this one I’ve combined elements of Iron Man’s costume with an Imperial Stormtrooper to make… Iron Trooper!
Like my Darth Doom picture before this – I’m not the first person to imagine how these characters could look combined – but I had a lot of fun creating a design that balances visual traits of both characters and I hope it shows my ability to take familiar concepts and create a new spin on them.
This is a low-res version of the original which was drawn in Photoshop (from an original pencil and paper drawing) using a Wacom pad. I used Sketchup to create a 3D version of the tunnel that the character’s standing in – which I then exported as a 2D image and colored in Photoshop.
Star Wars and Stormtroopers were created by George Lucas with the character’s design based on concept illustrations by Ralph McQuarrie; Iron Man was created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, Don Heck and Jack Kirby.

yeah, anyone that fights the empire would lose. Similar to the Dark Jedi units for the Pentastar Alignment in SW EAW FOC: Thrawn's Revenge mod. the dark jedi in the mod are an instant gg in Galactic Conquest for Pentastar in a land invasion.

hmm... I see what you mean, although I actually thought it came out a bit more like a Space Trooper (unintentionally). But I was aiming for a 'family' resemblance anyway - so as long as it it looks like it fits in that's ok with me!

...ooh - 'War Trooper' - I can imagine it now: lots of shiny black and grey armor - now that would be a mouth-watering prospect! I think I'm about done with these crossovers for now - but maybe one day...!

i can imagine the emperor realize tony's genius just kidnaps him and force him to create all kinds of super weapons for the empire. with the iron trooper armor being deployed at the forefront of the war with the rebels, they never stood a chance.

I think that would be a good one to see - and they seem a good match - but I think I'm gonna lay off these crossovers for a while at least - so maybe someone else could produce a 'Thor Kenobi'!?
