Description Working on some poses that I will be sharing through my newsletter at www.ramstudioscomics.com - by signing up you will get Poses each month to your inbox. Some will be quick gesture drawings and others will be more refined but all of them will be basic enough to draw through them with your own style. This should be a great resource for any comic artist. I will be doing all sorts of basic poses as well as complex angles and foreshortened poses.

My end goal is to compile these into a book for other artists to use. I know I am always thankful when I find a good pose to help me with my work. So please share this post and let me know what pose you have trouble with and I will see if I can include it in the set.

Thanks for watching!

Hello, I was wondering if I could use this as a reference for a drawing I’m going to do? I will credit you in the post and show a picture of your original drawing. (It will be posted on Instagram w/ both pictures. My Instagram username is @nikkiiguess_)
Thank you! ^^

Pretty awesome. Could I ask you a question.. I would like to know how do you make it look all organic and such.. for some reason I feel like my characters don't feel.. 3dish.. they feel 2d and flat.. Β

I have ordered some EVA foam in the mail. I just need to print out some PDF files and work my way around them.

You just need to practice your smooth lines. You will generally get a cleaner line with a quick pull or a steady pull without stopping until the curve is complete. And the part to get anatomy to look correct is not only understanding the muscles groups but combining just the right amount of angular lines with organic smooth lines. It really just takes lots and lots of practice. You are on the right track. Your character has a nice stance and pose so just keep at it. Always study from artists that are better than you at the moment and takes mental notes from their work. Good luck to you!

This is awesome. You could use this to concept some character designs, maybe make a video out of it

Thank you! I actually thought about it. Maybe showing how from this stage you could make this into either Captain America or Deadpool. And show the process to each. Could be fun!Β Β
