I feel so sad about the Orange Stinger. Why did they removed it? I love this ride. They can remove the orange scent that was attracting the bees, but not the structure of the orange. The last time I ride this when I was just 9 yrs. old, I just saw a bee flying around inside the Orange Stinger . I just ignore the bee flying around. Because this is a tribute to the Orange Fields that Disneyland was built. RIP Orange Stinger 2001–2009. Alot of rides has been changed and closed,

Well, they've reworked it and designed it with classic Disney toon and images, just like the Ferris Wheel. They're trying to pull in more of the classic Disney things, like Mickey and the gang. A lot of exciting things are coming to the park. I can't wait.

Yeah, the expansion of Disney's California Adventure is going to be awesome, since Disney is starting to lose everything I think they did alot of redesign to make Paradise Pier into a world of Classic Disney memories.

Exactly. California Adventure was pretty far from Walt's ideas. But it's starting to go back to the classics. I really hope this is the start of a lot of good changes for Disney.

Yeah, since Roy E. Disney died 2 years ago. Classics will still live in the near future.

Exactly. I always thought California Adventure had strayed too far from Walt's intentions, but things are looking up.

The Maliboomer is now gone. Oh well I'll have to go to California Adventure again to see some newest attraction.

Yeah. I think they're reworking that, too. When I was last there, there were walls put up with Mickey and the Gang in their Sunday best painted on them. They were hanging out in a park. It was all retro and nifty.

Did you miss Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams at Disneyland California?

Hm...I think I saw that one. Yeah, I think I did. I don't always catch the parades, so they sometimes blur together.

The parades melt into one another. All the floats are the same, can't remember what characters appeared, ect. I'm easily distracted, sometimes.

Yeah. I last got to see it a couple of summers ago. It was nice to see it again. The electric parade has always been my favorite.

Yeah, at least they add a new night-time show called World Of Color. I love the new night-time show, it shows every movies that we watched during our days as a kid from the 90's and 80's. Well, the space of Paradise Pier is now small. I was thinking that they might return Electrical Parade from Walt Disney World in Orlando to Disneyland California.

That would be great. I haven't had a chance to see World of Color yet, but I want to badly. I figure the crowds will die down eventually. The only way to see it right now is to get a fast pass and stand around well before the show. That's time I could be on rides....

raptoruos-knight In reply to robespierre13 [2011-02-24 04:59:37 +0000 UTC]

Well, it depends on what location you'll be standing when you get a fast pass. I haven't seen World of Color in person yet, but I'm glad that someone uploaded World of Color with the best view ever VIP.

Retro is the best. Alot of things has changed since the opening of California Adventure in 2001 which lame during that year, now the park improved well in the past few years.

Yeah. My favorite addition to the park would have to be Toy Story Mania. That ride is so much fun. The Tower of Terror has the classic Disney feel to it, too. All the little details that make a ride special.

Don't forget California Screamin and Grizzly Peak River Run. Those are my favorites.

Yeah. I love those, too. The river run is tons of fun. Screamin' is super fun, too. I remember the first time I went on it, we stopped at the base of the hill, and WOMPH! My head flies against the headrest and we're suddenly at the top of the hill. I love the looks on people's faces when they go on the ride and realize how you get up the hill.

And here I was thinking that I was the only one that remembered that Orange. Never went on though.

And the construction at Cali Adventure is crazy. I'm excited for the Little Mermaid attraction! Ariel is finally getting an attraction at a Disney-themed park! (Would've preferred it be in Disneyland -- maybe...Fantasyland? -- but beggars can't be choosers.)

robespierre13 In reply to somwei [2011-02-22 20:18:03 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Little Mermaid would be more at home in Fantasyland, but there's not much room left in Disneyland. There's a lot more room in California Adventure, and I'd hate to see any of the older rides get taken out for something else. I never went on the orange, either, but it looked fun. It's always good that they're building up the parks.

Yeah, a lot of changes are coming to California Adventure. There's an Little Mermaid dark street ride coming soon, a Goofy airplane ride replace Mullholland Madness, Car's Land...a street car that will go throughout the park. They're trying to make more attractions to draw in more guests...it helps with congestion in Disnyland, and they're also trying to get back to the classic Disney: rework the park so it's more like something Walt Disney would have built.

yup that's right! I can't wait for the Ariel Ride!!
they are also redoing the front so no more California letters outside and apparently we are going to be drawn back into 1955. They are also recreating the Snow White theater where the water fountain used to be and then the trolley so its very busy with construction over there haha
